Article: How not to get hacked
Summary:
Everything we do that requires the internet is at risk of being hacked. Facebook, e-mail, online shopping etc are included. In the article, the author introduced five way to prevent us from being hacked.
- 1. Beware of what we share. Strength our security questions, so that hackers have more obstacles to break in.
- 2. Pick a strong password. Try to use complicated things as password.
- 3. Use two-step verification.
- 4. Use Wi-Fi hot spots with care. Try not to open encryption data when using internet in public Wi-Fi.
- 5. Back up our data.
Reflections:
As the technology improved day by day, many people become internet-addicted. Moreover, when Facebook appeared in 2004 and Line in 2011, things get even obvious. When I take the MRT, more than 80% people are “phubbers” who keep switching their phone, or tablet. Under this phenomenon, security issues become a big problem. Many hackers hack our account to do some advertisement; I think we should put more focus on Internet security. To do the most basic things, change password frequently, makes sure our personal information does not hack by vicious guys.
